1. What does Predictive Systems do?
Predictive Systems is an outsourced technology management firm that provides comprehensive
services to small and medium sized organisations. We become your MIS department.
Predictive Systems handles the broad spectrum of IT concerns, from planning through
purchasing, implementation, user support and training. Our staff members have strong
and broad skill sets; where there are specific issues that lie outside of our services,
we will find and manage vendors who have these specific skills (cabling, accounting
software, advanced UNIX issues, etc...).
2. Why is Predictive Systems better than an in-house MIS staff?
* Predictive Systems' core business is in IT management and that's where
our skills and expertise lie.
* Predictive Systems' dedicated in-house training program ensures the constant development
of our internal staff.
* Predictive Systems takes away the headaches. We effectively manage all aspects
of an organisation's IT system so senior management can concentrate on the core

3. How do you train Predictive Systems' staff members to be technical experts?
We consider it a great strength that Predictive Systems' staff members
have diverse professional backgrounds, allowing them to bring a variety of skills
to the organisation. Predictive Systems builds expertise in particular technical
areas through industry sponsored course materials and certification exams, conferences,
and our own version of R&D - playing with new technology until we know it inside
and out.
4. How does Predictive Systems keep up with fast-changing technology?
All Predictive Systems staff members read trade magazines and test new
technology as part of our Research and Development program. In addition, technical
staff members are required to pursue certification in each of the major areas of
technology that we support.
5. Who does Predictive Systems report to?
Predictive Systems works closely with the senior management of our client
organisations. We report to the same person or committee (often a VP of Finance,
a CFO, or other executive) that an internal MIS director would report to. Predictive
Systems typically reviews the client relationship with this person every quarter.
6. Will my company always work with the same people/team?
Your company will have access to a diverse pool of system engineers that
report to your Account Manager and Predictive Systems' senior management. In addition,
client organisation's may work with the Technology Consulting Services (TCS) group
when special needs arise.
